Cork Yoga Mat Manufacturer
HTS YOGA manufactures cork yoga mats with natural cork surfaces laminated to TPE or natural rubber backing. Stock and custom programs support private label brands, studios, retailers and distributors with selectable sizes, thicknesses, cork textures, backing colors, logos and retail packaging.
Natural Cork Yoga Mats with TPE or Rubber Backing
A cork yoga mat combines a natural cork upper surface with a supporting TPE or natural rubber base. The cork layer defines the visible grain, texture and contact surface, while the backing contributes most of the cushioning, finished weight and floor stability.
Cork + TPE creates a lighter, more cushioned construction suited to retail, e-commerce and home-practice collections. Cork + Natural Rubber creates a denser, more grounded construction commonly selected for studios, hot yoga and premium product lines.
Cork grain, backing material, density, thickness, underside texture and lamination should be evaluated as one construction. Buyers developing a new specification can review these variables through our Yoga Mat Materials & Construction service before sampling.
Natural cork can also support natural-material or sustainability-focused positioning. Any environmental claims should reflect the complete product construction, sourcing, packaging and available documentation rather than the cork surface alone.

Compare Cork Yoga Mat Constructions
A Cork + TPE construction is generally preferred when lower weight, softer cushioning and shipping efficiency are priorities. Cork + Natural Rubber is more suitable when stronger floor stability, a grounded feel and premium positioning are required.
Finished performance also depends on density, thickness, cork grain, underside texture and bonding quality. Physical samples should be approved before custom bulk production.

Cushioning | Softer and lighter | Firmer and more grounded |
Finished Weight | Lower | Higher |

In-Stock Cork Yoga Mats
In-stock mats support product evaluation, market testing, small wholesale orders and distributor replenishment without requiring a custom production run.
Stock supply refers to standard unbranded base mats and remains subject to current inventory availability.
Available backing colors, quantities and dispatch arrangements should be confirmed before ordering. Approximate finished weight, rolled diameter, carton quantity and carton dimensions can be provided after the required specification and quantity are confirmed.

Cork TPE Yoga Mats
Cork TPE yoga mats combine a natural cork surface with a lightweight, cushioned TPE base. The construction is suited to retail, e-commerce, home practice and general wellness collections where portability and softer cushioning are important.
Stock specifications include 183 × 61 cm mats in 5 mm and 6 mm thicknesses. Custom production supports alternative dimensions, 3–10 mm thickness options, Pantone-based backing colors, branded graphics and packaging.
TPE density, thickness and underside texture should be selected together to balance cushioning, floor contact, finished weight and target price.

Cork Natural Rubber Yoga Mats
Cork Natural Rubber yoga mats combine the cork practice surface with a denser rubber base for stronger floor contact and a firmer, more grounded feel during standing poses and transitions.
Stock specifications include 183 × 61 cm mats in 4 mm and 5 mm thicknesses. Standard custom production uses black rubber backing, while specified rubber colors are available from 500 mats.
This construction is commonly selected for premium brands, studios, hot yoga programs and performance-focused collections. Rubber density, thickness, underside texture and lamination quality should be reviewed together.
Natural rubber may not be suitable for users with latex sensitivity, so applicable labeling and destination-market requirements should be considered before production.

Grip and Practice Conditions
Natural cork provides a textured contact surface and may develop a more pronounced grip feel when exposed to light moisture during practice.
Actual cork yoga mat grip depends on the complete construction, including cork grain, surface finish, moisture level, backing stability, underside texture and floor conditions. Cork alone does not determine finished non-slip performance.
For hot yoga, studio use or users with sweaty hands, the intended construction should be evaluated under relevant dry and moisture-exposed conditions before bulk approval. Similar requirements can also be applied to selected Pilates and fitness programs where cushioning and floor stability are important.

Cork Yoga Mat Size and Thickness
The standard stock size is 183 × 61 cm, while custom dimensions can be developed for specific product collections and sales channels.
Thickness should be considered together with the backing material and density because a 4 mm natural rubber construction can feel firmer and weigh more than a thicker TPE-backed mat.
For thicker cork yoga mats, additional cushioning should be balanced against stability, finished weight, carton volume and freight efficiency.
Thickness | Typical Product Direction | Main Consideration |
|---|---|---|
3 mm | Thin custom construction | Lower profile and smaller rolled diameter |
4 mm | Firmer performance construction | Stock option for Cork + Rubber |
5 mm | Balanced cushioning and stability | Stock option for both constructions |
6 mm | More cushioned general-practice mat | Stock option for Cork + TPE |
7–10 mm | Thick, comfort-focused format | Greater cushioning, weight and roll diameter |
Cork Surface Options
Cork grain influences appearance, texture and achievable print detail. Because cork is a natural material, minor differences in tone, particle size and grain distribution may occur between production lots.

Fine Natural Cork
Uniform, refined grain suited to detailed logos, alignment graphics and minimalist collections.

Medium Cork Grain
Balanced natural texture with visible cork character and good branding compatibility.

Large Cork Chip
More pronounced particles for collections requiring a stronger natural and textured appearance.

Coffee-Toned Cork
A darker decorative surface for lifestyle, wellness and differentiated retail ranges.

Tea-Toned Cork
An earthy appearance suited to understated branding and neutral product collections.

Color Confetti Cork
Colored particles create a distinctive surface for seasonal, kids and lifestyle-oriented designs.
Fine cork generally supports more detailed artwork, while larger particles are better suited to simpler graphics. Physical surface samples can be reviewed before approval.
Additional cork patterns, backing textures and coordinated colors can be developed through our Yoga Mat Surface Textures & Colors service.
Private Label Branding and Packaging
Branding can be developed around the selected cork grain, artwork complexity and required visual effect.
Available methods include:
- Embossing
- Screen printing
- Laser engraving
- Heat-transfer printing
- Sewn fabric labels
- Digital printing
The suitable method depends on artwork detail, color count, print area, cork texture and durability requirements. Final artwork, position, scale and surface effect should be approved on a physical sample.
More detailed artwork and process planning can be reviewed through our Yoga Mat Logo & Printing service.
Packaging options include paper bands, printed sleeves, carrying straps, yoga mat bags, retail boxes and e-commerce cartons. The format should reflect the finished weight, rolled diameter, sales channel and shipping method.
Mats can also be combined with blocks, straps, towels or bags for coordinated retail and studio sets. Labels, barcodes, individual packs and export cartons can be developed through our Packaging & Labeling service.

Cork Yoga Mat Manufacturing and Inspection
Cork constructions require control of both the natural upper surface and the supporting TPE or rubber layer.
Material Inspection
Cork and backing materials are reviewed for grain distribution, visible condition, thickness and color variation before lamination.
Lamination and Dimension Control
Bonding consistency, bubbles, weak areas and edge separation are checked during production. Finished length, width and thickness are reviewed against the approved specification.
Branding and Final Inspection
Logo position, scale, print clarity and alignment are compared with the approved sample. Finished mats, packaging, quantities and carton markings are then checked against the confirmed order requirements.
Inspection criteria and required testing can be defined according to the construction, buyer standards and destination market through our Quality & Testing process.
